1 - Today the children will invent a story. In the next labs they will build a series of automata starting from the key points of the story. | 2 - The school teacher explains the project: each group of children will invent a story on any subject. Children will work in groups of four. | 3 - What the story will talk about ? Children begin to propose themes: the story of a rabbit, a toucan, the beautiful the beast and the ogre, or a flamingo. |
4 - Children develop the story as a group, with everyone's contribution. The children also designed the characters of the story, | ||
5 - which will be set in motion. The stories are divided into 4 or 5 parts. For each of the parts will be made an automata. | ||
6 - The puma and the zoo: 1) There was once a zoo with many animals. There was the bear, the lion, the cheetah and the puma. 2) One day the very clever puma ran away. 3) The director of the zoo noticed it right away, but after two days the zoo director and guardians could not find the puma 4) The puma meanwhile walk in the city, the people who saw him rose above the first tree they saw. 5) But after a week the puma was lonely. So he decided to go back to the zoo. The director of the zoo and the animals were celebrating because the puma had returned so they all lived happily ever after. | ||
7 - The child and the seal: 1) One day a seal met a child just because he went to Scotland. 2) But one day, while the boy was playing with the seal, uncle saw it and so wanted to capture. 3) One night the uncle went to talk to a friend who worked in a circus of animals. At this point, the uncle said, "We capture the seal together, so after having captured we will train it" "But you can not do that," said the boy, but his uncle while distracting the child, the friend caught the seal. 4) The child lunged against the uncle friend, the friend fell into the sea and so the child saved the baby seals. Uncle went to prison, and everyone lived happily ever after. | ||
8 - The Lion King: 1) There was once a Lion King walking in the savannah and met a flamingo who said to him: "Why are you sad?" and the lion said, "Because I'm bored." And the flamingo said to the lion king that there were three fishes that wanted to speak with him, in three different lakes. 2) The Lion King came into the lake of the Gold fish. The Gold fish said to the Lion King: "I want to give you a gold fingernail as a reward for becoming the strongest animal in the world." 3) And the lion king went to the lake of silver. And the Silver fish said, "I want to give you a silver paw because you are the most courageous lion of the world." 4) And the lion king went to the lake of bronze. It arrived and the Bronze fish said to the Lion king: "I want to give you a mane of bronze because you are the most beautiful animal in the world." 5) after seeing all three lakes a little peacock said, "I definitely will fight and if I win I will take your gold fingernail , your silver paw and your bronze mane. So the Lion King decided to make a challenge against the peacock. And the peacock, with its beak pecked the lion on his face. And then the peacock won the challenge and took everything. Embarrassed the lion was gone, and the peacock became the strongest animal in the world. | ||
9 - The vampire child : 1) There was once a boy named Michael. One day he woke up with one of the vampire teeth, because his mother was a vampire and had bite him. 2) In the afternoon came his friend who did not know he was a vampire, and the girl said, "Let's go play?" 3) The child said: "No, because I have to do," but really did not want to go out because the moon was full and he was afraid to bite. 4) But the girl forced him to get out from under the covers. 5) When he left the house bit the child. | ||
10 - Over the next two workshops will realize automata on any subject, so that the kids getting familiar with the construction techniques, materials and mechanisms. In subsequent workshops we will return to these stories and realize automata that correspond to the key points of the stories themselves. |
